POSTING POSITION: Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) Project Manager

REPORTS TO: President

LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN

IBS is a nationally recognized specialized general contractor in electrical, fire, and safety. We provide a life cycle of services including consulting, engineering, construction, commissioning, maintenance, and training throughout North America.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

As an EOS “Traction” company ( Right Person/Right Seat ) the successful candidate is a competent AI project manager with functional knowledge and experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation development. This role leads the creation, development, and maintenance of AI-driven automations to deliver faster customer service in reporting and project initiation, while streamlining internal processes to maximize efficiency with limited resources.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Ability to align AI strategies with company goals, conduct ROI analysis, and identify high impact AI use cases.
• Leading the design, development, and deployment of complex AI automations for reporting, project initiation, and enterprise-wide process optimization
• Identifying and prioritizing opportunities for AI-driven improvements across divisions
• Developing and maintaining AI models, ensuring accurate integration with existing systems
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy automations
• Analyzing data to refine AI solutions and measure impact
• Overseeing basic testing and troubleshooting of AI systems
• Evaluating emerging technologies and recommending adoption strategies
• Providing training and support to staff on AI tools

ABOUT YOU (RIGHT PERSON):

You bring a minimum of five (5) years of experience in AI-related fields, including hands-on work in machine learning, data analysis, and/or AI project implementation. Demonstrating the following:

• Adaptable – AI evolves rapidly. The Right Person will know how to stay current and prioritize.
• Results-Oriented – proven track record of delivering AI projects on time and within budget, with tangible outcomes like cost savings or revenue growth.
• Humor – you bring a sharp wit and a knack for keeping things light, even under pressure—our team thrives on humor and resilience, not drama or complaints.
• Travel – overnight travel approximately 20% of the time (10 weeks/yr); travel as the job requires.
• Financial Literacy – a clear understanding of key financial concepts.

You possess meticulous work habits including close attention to detail, time management, people skills, problem-solving skills, exceptional organizational skills, ability to effectively communicate and present technical information verbally and in writing via Microsoft Office applications (mainly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.

Education: Minimum, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field.

Experience : Minimum, five (5) years in AI development, machine learning, or automation, with proficiency with tools like Python, SQL, or similar languages. Experience with AI platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, or other API automation tools.
