Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Interventional Radiology Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and comfort while utilizing advanced imaging technologies. Your expertise will be essential in monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' health status before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) lines as required.
• Assist physicians during procedures by providing necessary support and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Educate patients and their families about the procedure, potential risks, and post-procedure care.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
• Collaborate with radiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols.
• Stay current with advancements in interventional radiology practices and technologies.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license (RN) in the state of practice.
• Previous experience in interventional radiology or critical care nursing is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to interventional procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training related to interventional radiology practices.

Certifications: ARRT R, BLS, Fluoro Permit, LA Fire Card , State licensed

Shift:  Day 5x8-Hour (06:30 - 15:00)
