Job Description and Duties

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is looking for a motivated student who is willing to assist the Law Enforcement Division Hunter Education Program. Working with Law Enforcement Assistant Chiefs, Staff Services Managers and headquarters analysts on a wide variety of administrative tasks. Daily duties could be record keeping and maintenance, tracking inventory, answering phone calls and sending written and electronic correspondence, records look up, general vehicle and vessel maintenance, transporting and coordinating with maintenance and repair contractors, invoicing, processing incoming and outgoing mail. Employees may also have the opportunity to assist Law Enforcement staff with enforcement and non-enforcement related projects.

Applicant should possess a valid Driver's license and be able to pass a Law Enforcement, fingerprint background check. Applicants must submit a complete and accurate application package, free from spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.

This position requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License. Must maintain a clean driving record. The selected candidate may be required to provide a photocopy (front and back) of the license: Name as stated on the license, issuing state, DL #, Class, expiration.
