Job Description

Sound + Fury Brewing is a brewery, bar, restaurant and event space, located in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn. We are currently looking for a server to join our expanding and evolving team, with potential to grow into future roles for the right candidate.

Servers here at Sound + Fury are a key part of our team and should have a keen interest and a desire to learn about the craft beer industry. Restaurant experience is essential and beer knowledge is preferred.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of craft beer
• Interest in continued professional development
• 2+ Serving experience required
• Familiarity with Toast (POS) preferred but not required
• A strong commitment to excellent customer service
• Self-motivated team member who can show initiative to assist others as needed
• Night and weekend availability
• Reliable and dependable work ethic, communication and follow through
• Adherence to standards of service

Duties Include

• Continuous up-to-date awareness of beer, wine and spirits, as well as new developments with the brewery and brand
• Serving private events in our 6000sq ft bar and restaurant
• Maintaining clean serving stations throughout service
• Educating the customer craft beers made in house
• Exhibiting a friendly disposition while providing exquisite customer service
• Maintaining good verbal communication to management and staff during service
• Accurate and responsible handling of credit card and cash transactions.
• Carrying out all of our standards of practices (opening, closing and during service)
• Comfortable with side work
• End of night cash out and distribution of cash tips
• A willingness to be flexible about schedule when necessary

Job Types: Weekend (Sat & Sun), possible to grow to other shifts and also pick-up
